What is D.R.E.A.M.

DREAM is a healing-centered school and community-based program that helps youth reconnect with their identity, culturally responsive, rebuild confidence, and develop emotional tools to navigate life. Through creative expression, mentorship, and trauma-informed support, DREAM empowers youth to move forward with clarity and hope.

Develop – a strong sense of identity, purpose, and vision
Resilience – to overcome adversity and bounce back stronger
Empower – youth with the tools and confidence to lead their lives
Affirm – their worth, voice, and potential through supportive relationships
Manifest – their dreams into reality through action, healing, and hope

DREAM provides trauma-informed sessions and activities such as:

Creative Arts & Journaling

Painting, Poetry, Affirmations, & Vision boards

Healing Circles

Peer Support, Guided Discussions, & Emotional Check-Ins

Character Building & Life Skills

Emotional Regulation, Decision-Making, & Communication

Mentorship & Identity Work

Developing Self-Worth and Personal Values

Faith & Empowerment Talks

Optional for Faith-Based Settings

Activities include:

• Art therapy, vision boards, and poetry
• Journaling and self-reflection prompts
• Identity-building exercises and affirmations
• 👑 Pretty in Pink – Cultural Empowerment Tea Series
• Themed tea parties exploring global traditions and etiquette
• Focused on identity, presence, and cultural pride
• Journaling, confidence-building, and celebration of beauty and worth
• 🥾 Outdoor & Physical Wellness
• Hiking, nature walks, and mindfulness in motion
• Outdoor journaling and emotional check-ins
• Group movement activities to reduce anxiety and boost connection
• 💬 Healing Circles & Mentorship
• Safe, peer-led spaces to share emotions and build trust
• Support from trained mentors and trauma-informed facilitators
• Sessions on boundaries, healthy friendships, and coping skills

    Arise Los Angeles provides trauma-informed programs for girls and women ages 12–30. From STRTP housing to mentoring and outreach, we meet individuals where they are and walk with them through healing and growth.
